I Rise began in February 2015 as a trial concept created and sponsored by founder and facilitator Tracy Thorpe Scott at the Kingsley Association. The pilot group of six girls ages 8 to 18 quickly showed the power of culturally grounded confidence and leadership development.
From that small start, I Rise grew—partnering with Higher Achievement for a summer session, then launching in the after-school program at Hosanna House (2017–2020). It expanded through a six-week series with Ward Home, four sessions at Woodland Hills High School, and ongoing in-school programming at Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship, where it has been active since 2018.
Now celebrating nearly ten years of impact, I Rise has served more than 1,000 girls, including 90 to 100 participants during the 2024–2025 school year. The TTS Coaching & Development, LLC program continues to grow as a trusted, transformative space where girls learn to rise with confidence, purpose, and pride.
The I Rise Curriculum
The I Rise curriculum is intentionally adaptable. Each site’s program is customized to reflect the needs, culture, and lived experiences of the girls it serves. While the core themes of confidence, leadership, and sisterhood remain constant, session activities and discussions are tailored to the age group, school environment, and community priorities.
I Rise 4 week session @ Kingsley Association - July 2016
I Rise was founded by Tracy Thorpe Scott, a life coach, counselor, and consultant with over 25 years of experience in personal and professional development. As a mother and mentor, Tracy saw firsthand how early messages about identity and worth shape the way girls show up in the world. She created I Rise to give girls a safe space to explore who they are, build confidence, and lead fearlessly.
Tracy holds an MBA, a Master’s in Counseling, and is an IPS™ Master Coach, blending business strategy, counseling insight, and transformative coaching to help girls and women rise from within. Tracy is a speaker and author of The Power of Me & The Emotional Reboot Journal.
